Photography is a time machine. It allows one to once again return and relive their favorite memories of the past. It allows one to venture into the future and experience next year’s journey.

Photography is a vision.  It allows us to see the inside of a flower from a bug’s perspective. It allows us to hang the city lights of Paris on our wall. It allows us to see the colors change as the sun slowly settles below the horizon line.

Photography is a mirror. It allows us to see and reflect on the world around us. It allows us to see what we are doing to our environment, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Photography is imagination. It allows us to imagine and feel the warm air rising out of the Grand Canyon as we stand on the North Rim at sunrise. It allows us to taste the salt spray from waves crashing on the rocky California coast. It allows us to smell the spring flowers blanketing the earth.  It allows us hear a clap of thunder when viewing a captured bolt of lighting. It allows us to see a brilliant rainbow once the storm has cleared.
